Missy Franklin, the new darling of US Olympic swimming is getting inked. Following in the tradition of many other Olympians, MIssy's first, and maybe only tattoo wll be of the Olympic rings. It's apparently the only tattoo her parents will allow. Here at Tattoo Lou's, we salute Missy's fantastic job representing our country. We also thank her parents for letting her get inked. And finally, we volunteer to provide Missy with her Olympic rings if she feels so inclined!

Marcel Nguyen, a German Olymic gymnast has purchased a special waterproof coverup makeup to hide his rather large chest tattoo while competing in London. The tattoo in question reads "Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever." German officials promised him that showing his tattoo would not affect his scoring in competition, but in a completely subjective sport like gymnastics, Nguyen is taking no chances, and covering up his ink just in case a judge or two might give him lower marks because of it. 

Louis Smth, the captain of England's men's gymnastics team, is in the process of telling his life story through ink, in the form of a growing back tattoo collage. After leading his mates to a team bronze medal in London, there is sure to be a new chapter to add to his body,
